Veterinary Research Institute Puławy under patronage Wojciech Olejniczak –
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development in agreement with the Austrian,
the Croatian, the Czech, the Dutch, the German, the Romanian, the Hungarian, the
Italian, the Slovakian and the Slovenian Associations for Buiatrics are very
pleased to invite you to participate in the VI Middle European Buiatrics
Congress, which will be held in Krakow - one of the most interesting and
beautiful towns in Poland – from June 1-4. 2005, Conference Centre
“Witek”. Lectures,
scientific papers, oral and poster communications will be presented on June 2
and 3. Congress
slogan: Achievements and prospects
of ruminants medicine. The
programme of the Congres will aim at updating the scientific knowledge and
professional skills of veterinary surgeons in bovine, ovine and caprine practice
to enable them to achieve an everincreasing qualification and help the
veterinary surgeons to get more familiar with each other. In
addition to the scientific programme, social programme will be organized for the
participants and accompanying guests. The exhibition area will present products

Malinowski (Bydgoszcz) - chairman Venue The
local colour of Krakow is created by the co-existing the past – captured in
Krakow’s monuments, traditions, legends; and the present. This is where one
can find Wawel – the Royal Residence and the coronation place, St. Mary’s
Church with the Wit Stwosz’s altar, the main square – the biggest in Europe,
as well as the oldest polish university – the Jagiellonian University
with the famous Collegium Maius. Both Krakow and the whole region are
made more attractive by the surrounding places of interest such as Wieliczka
with the world famous salt mine. Official
language The
official working languages will be English and Polish. There will be
simultaneous translation available all sessions. Bank
and currency exchange The
currency is the Polish zloty (1 EUR = 4,2 PLN). Delegates may change foreign
currency and travellers’ cheques at the airport upon arriving in Krakow, or at
several banks located in the town. International credit cards are accepted for
payments in hotels, restaurants and shops. Insurance
The
organizers of the congress recommend that participants arrange their own
insurance for health, travel and property. The organizers will not accept any
liability for personal injury or loss of, or damage to, property. Delegate

To register for the congress participants are kindly requested to
complete the enclosed registration form and return it to the congress
secretariat by April 30, 2005. Upon receipt of this form and the appropriate congress fee, participants
will be officially registered and all the items you have requested and paid for
are included. This letter of confirmation must be presented upon registration at
beginning of the congress. Final registration is valid only upon receipt of the

organizers of the VI Middle European Buiatrics Congress invite you to contribute
to achieve the original goal in updating the scientific knowledge and
professional skills of veterinary surgeons in bovine, ovine and caprine practice
by presenting papers related to the aforementioned subjects and/or by an active
participation in the scientific programme. If you intend to present a contribution to the congress, please send an abstract of your paper – with maximum of 300 words – to the Scientific Secretariat before the 28th of February 2005, Al. Partyzantów 57, 24-100 Puławy, Poland, e-mail: dbednare@piwet.pulawy.pl The
abstract should be single space with double space between paragraphs. A blank
line should be inserted between title and author(s) and affiliation(s), and
between affiliation(s) and the text. The title and the author(s) should be in
12-point fount on bold, centered on the page. The type face should be Times New
Roman. The presenting author’s name should be underlined. Contributors
will be notified about the
acceptance of their abstract shortly after submission, but not later than 15th
of March 2005. The text should be sent by e-mail. Abstracts must be submitted in
one of Congress languages: English or Polish. It is planned to publish the
accepted papers in the Proceedings. Publishing is conditional upon at least one
